About the Residency
The purpose of the Verge Regional Residency Program is to give meaningful support to emerging and career artists from the Sacramento region. Our residency program provides visual artists financial support along with the time and space needed to concentrate on their work. This program aims to nurture local artists from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines. The VRRP provides artists with free workspace as well as a financial stipend in order to help them invest in their practice more deeply. Residents may evolve an existing body of work or embark on a one time special project that requires additional work space and financial investment. Visual artists working in all mediums and disciplines are welcome to apply. This program is made possible through the generous support of Katie Thomas and Richie Lawrence.
The 3-month Verge Residency is open to artists living locally (within a 35-mile radius of Sacramento)
