In California on March 1, 2026

The Public Art Fund consists of revenues, which can include, but are not limited to, City of Livermore public works and private developer in-lieu fees, bequests, donations and funding acquired from other sources by the Commission for the Arts.

Support for community-based public art activities is awarded from the Public Art Fund through grant programs overseen by the Commission for the Arts.

        Mini Grants

Grant support is available on a quarterly basis to artists and community organizations which provide activities and services that advance the overall mission and goals of the Commission for the Arts. Applicants’ projects must meet the definition of public art activities as defined in the City’s Public Art Policy. Artists or organizations are eligible for grant awards of up to $1,000. The number of grants awarded each quarter will vary depending on the resources available.

Mini Grant Applications must be submitted to the Livermore Public Library’s Administration Office by the 1st of March, June, September and December, and will be reviewed by the Commission for the Arts at their regular meeting that same month.  If the 1st of the month falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or day that the City is closed for business, applications will be due on the next business day. If using U.S. Mail, your application must be received by the City on the 1st.
