        Arts Advocacy Day

Join CA Arts Advocates and bring your voice to Sacramento for Arts Advocacy Day on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026

        WHAT

        • Arts, Culture & Creativity Month (ACCM) culminates in Arts Advocacy Day at the Capitol where we join forces in Sacramento to educate state lawmakers on the power of the arts, our challenges and needed policy solutions.
        • The day features an energizing rally and then a musical march to the Capitol where we meet with state representatives to advocate for funding and policies that support our sector.
        • Arts Advocacy Day is held in conjunction with the CA Arts & Culture Summit on April 20th.

        WHO

        • Artists, arts workers, tradition bearers, and cultural organizations come from across the state to be a part of Arts Advocacy Day (250 people last year!).
        • Captains schedule and organize the lawmaker meetings ahead of time and CA Arts Advocates provides all the talking points, resources and training you need to have effective meetings.
        • The rally features performers, arts champions, and elected officials who pump up the crowd with speeches and celebration.

        WHERE

Rally in Capitol Park and march to the “Swing Space" where lawmakers have their offices.
