Mural Project Manager (Part Time) Description
The Bay Area Mural Program (BAMP), a Black-led, BIPOC-centered nonprofit, is seeking a Mural Project Manager to provide structured oversight and coordination of ongoing mural projects. This role requires a disciplined, highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities, ensure accountability across teams, and maintain strong communication with clients and partners. The Project Manager will act as a direct liaison between BAMP and external stakeholders, ensuring that all projects, workshops, and site walkthroughs are executed on schedule and to standard.
Location: Oakland, CA/Remote
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight
- Monitor progress across active mural projects and workshops; hold parties accountable to deadlines.
- Coordinate directly with artists, designers, and partners to ensure deliverables are met.
- Provide consistent, timely updates to BAMP leadership on all project developments.
Community Engagement & Representation
- Represent BAMP at site walkthroughs, client meetings, and student workshops.
- Serve as the primary liaison between BAMP and project ambassadors.
- Ensure communication with partners, schools, and community stakeholders is professional, accurate, and timely.
Team & Artist Support
- Participate in weekly staff/admin meetings (approx. 3 hrs/week).
- Ensure artists have access to necessary resources, schedules, and information.
- Address issues or delays proactively, escalating to leadership as needed.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain complete and accurate project records, contracts, and schedules.
- Keep project trackers, spreadsheets, and photo documentation current at all times.
- Deliver structured weekly progress reports to BAMP leadership.
